10 ways to make the Law of Attraction work for you
Over 10 years ago I watched an episode of Oprah that featured the movie and book by Rhonda Byrne called The Secret. I can remember sitting there listening to each of the cast members talking about this magical answer to all our problems known as The Law of Attraction.
I was absolutely fascinated with the idea that you can attract the life you desire most by simply changing what you think about. Sounds too easy, doesn’t it?
Over the years I’ve continued to learn more about The Law of Attraction and I’m still just as hooked on it as I was the first time I’d ever heard of it. However, I’ve come to realize that simply thinking in a positive way and visualizing what you want are not enough.
There is more to making The Law of Attraction work for you. You have to not only think about and visualize what you want in your life, but you also have to live as if you’ve already received it. You need to feel the emotions that correspond to what you want most.
The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like. Your thoughts give off different vibrational frequencies which means that what you think about most, you attract more of into your life.
So it only makes sense that you just need to stop thinking about what you don’t want and more about what you do.
What do you believe about yourself
But what about your beliefs? Do you believe that you deserve what it is you truly want? Do you believe you are worthy of having an abundant life or do you believe that kind of thing is just not for you? It’s for everyone else, right?
Because here’s the thing, you can visualize your dream business or life all day long and keep your thoughts in a positive place, but if deep down inside your subconscious mind you believe it’s not possible, then it’s not possible.
Think of it like this, if you think about something you really want but don’t believe you can have it, then you are sending out different vibrational frequencies that will not match up with what you desire to attract. You are basically canceling out your initial request.
In order to begin to attract the life you desire most, you have to put all the pieces together.
Here are ten simple ways to make the Law of attraction work for you.
As you begin to practice the steps listed below, you will start to see amazing changes happening in your life.
1. Visualize the life you desire most
What does your ideal life look like? What do you feel passionate about? What would you love to do every day that would bring in the income that you desire most?
Begin to visualize the life you want to live and see yourself already living that life. Live as if you have already achieved your dreams.
Try changing the way you speak about what you want most from saying “I want” to “I have.”
2. Raise Your Vibration
Visualization alone is not enough. Try to feel the emotions that you would feel if you were living the life of your dreams. Does it make you feel happy or full of joy?
Allow yourself to feel what it would be like to live the life of your dreams and your vibration will begin to change.
When you start to raise your emotional vibration to match your visualizations, you are sending out stronger energy which will help you to attract the life you want.
3. Change Your Beliefs
You must believe that what you want is possible and that you deserve to have it. Even if you don’t quite feel it yet, practice changing your limiting beliefs that will prevent you from reaching your goals.
Begin to rewire your internal beliefs by practicing the daily Mantras listed at the bottom of this post.
Take up a meditation practice to help you quiet the mind and locate the beliefs that are holding you back, then begin to replace them with positive beliefs of what you want.
4. Ask for What You Want
As you begin to visualize your dream life and work on feeling the emotions of what you would feel like if you were living that life now, you will gain clarity around the details of what the perfect business and life would look like.
Write down or say aloud exactly what you want. If you ask and you believe, you will receive.
5. Release the Outcome to make the Law of Attraction Work
Don’t worry about when things will begin to change in your life. Everything happens exactly as it is supposed to happen and when you spend your time worrying about the timeframe or the outcome, you are sending out the message that you do not believe it is possible (remember those pesky limiting beliefs).
The outcome you think you want may not be the best one for you. Trust that you will receive exactly what you need when you need it.
Worry and doubt will not bring you what you want so it’s best to let them go and simply believe that it’s coming to you.
6. Become Aware of Negative Thoughts
Avoid getting stuck in negative thought patterns which zap your energy and lower your vibrational frequency. What you think about the most you create more of.
Notice when you are thinking about something that upsets or frustrates you and find a way to shift your thoughts to something more positive.
The more you work on awareness, the easier it is to change what you think about. Try to live in the present moment instead of thinking about the past and worrying about the future.
7. Practice Gratitude
Daily gratitude is an amazing way to begin shifting negative thoughts in a more positive direction.
When you begin to practice thinking about all the things you have to be grateful for, you have less time to spend worrying about things that are out of your control.
8. Focus Only on What You Want
Thoughts are energy. Negative thoughts vibrate at a low frequency and positive thoughts vibrate at a high frequency.
What you think about most you attract more of to your life.
If you focus on the things you don’t want you will attract them to you, so make sure to keep your thoughts focused only on the things you want to manifest.
Practice saying “I have” and “I am.”
9. Meditate Daily
Meditation is a game changer. It may seem difficult at first but the practice of quieting your mind and going within gives you the ability to change your limiting belief system and replace it with new, powerful beliefs.
Begin by finding a guided meditation to help you learn and master the practice. There are tons of great meditations on YouTube.
Go within and ask yourself what you believe that holds you back from achieving your goals and replace those Beliefs with the visions you are creating every day.
This is one of the most important practices you can do to really begin to change your life.
10. Trust & Have Patience
When you begin to change old ways of being your life will begin to transform. It won’t happen overnight, but it is so important to have trust that it will come in time.
If things are not changing for you then take a closer look at what you are thinking about and how you feel. What do you believe to be true?
You may need to do more work in one of the areas listed above. Have patience and trust the process so you can make the Law of Attraction work for you.
It’s so important to practice self-love. If you don’t love and believe in yourself then no one else can either.
Your path to creating the business and life you want most should always start with taking care of and loving yourself.
Mantras are excellent for helping you to kick out old beliefs and rewire you with a new “Yes I can” attitude.
Try the following simple Mantras on for size and don’t forget to say them every day.
Notice each mantra is in the present tense. If you want to create your own mantras, make sure to use words like I have or I am, instead of I want.
This implies that you think things are out of reach. A simple change of words will create a powerful message to the universe.
